George Osborne Visits Lancashire

George Osborne MP Eric Ollerenshaw, Lancaster and Fleetwood’s Parliamentary Candidate, has written to the LEP following a visit to the County by George Osborne MP.

Dear Sir,

What a breath of fresh air it was to read of the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer’s critique of Gordon Brown’s efforts in managing the county’s economy – (Just what Lancashire wants – 26/02/08).

George Osborne’s condemnation of this Government’s obsession with red tape and lack of concern in bringing in new skills as a plague on Lancashire’s financial fortunes was on bang on the mark.

With a family backing in the manufacturing trade, I am absolutely positive that the MP would make an energetic and knowledgeable Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Also, As a North-West MP, I am sure George would make it a priority to boost the economic fortunes of this great region. I look forward to the day when Mr Osborne is holding the red box outside 11 Downing Street!
