Local Conservatives recently joined in with an Environment Agency sponsored litter pick along the canal next the Ridge.
The litter pick covered a large area just north of the Ridge, which included the canal path, a local stream and several footpaths.
The day involved moving large amounts of broken wood, carpets, tyres, old trolleys, and even the rusty inside of a washing machine!
Miles Bennington, the Conservative Representative for the Ridge, said: “During the day, lots of rubbish and fly tipping was removed and it was great to see the area improved.
