Eric Questions Labour’s Links to Canatxx

Tram Sunday - Stall 1 Eric Ollerenshaw, the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Lancaster and Fleetwood, has questioned Labour’s links to Canatxx.

While campaigning to Stop Canatxx Again, Eric commented: “First we had a Labour Peer, Lord Taylor, speaking on the issue in the House of Lords, but not declaring his links as an advisor to Canatxx until forced to apologise.

“Now, thanks to Ben Wallace MP, we find that Jack Straw took a donation from Canatxx to fund a party!  This is now to be investigated by the Standards Watchdog.

It is now time for the local Labour Party to come clean and explain to local residents Labour’s links to Canatxx

Eric Ollerenshaw

“Given the speed with which Canatxx are putting in their second application to store gas under the Wyre coast, it is beginning to look like another stitch up regardless of the views of residents of Fleetwood, Preesall and Knott End.”

More lies from Tories. This donation was made public in 2004, before Wallace even became an MP

I thought the issue was – and thanks for admitting it – that a senior Labour Party Cabinet member has had a financial connection with Canatxx!

Now we also find out that the Labour Lord Taylor is actually advising Canatxx – what hope is there that Labour Lancashire County Council or perhaps even the Labour Government can really be objective when they have to deal with this second application to store gas under the River Wyre?

PS I wonder if Councillor Duffy would tell us who attended this Canatxx sponsored party?

Now Now Eric, Calm down and look at the facts. This Labour Government has already turned down Canatxx once. What evidence have you to suggest that Labour won’t do the same this time?

On the same issue, are you prepared to promise that any future Tory Government will reject these plans. Saying you would campaign against is one thing, resigning if your beloved Tories passed such plans is another.

If the People of Lancaster and Fleetwood were daft enough to elect you this June 5th (wild guess) would you resign in protest considering your stated huge opposition to Canatxx? I THOUGHT NOT
