Lancaster Conservatives Launch Bin Survey

Fly Tipping in Lancaster

Fly Tipping in Lancaster

Over January and February, households in Lancaster will be receiving a special bin survey from your local Conservatives.

We are extremely interested in how the current refuse and recycling system is working and would really appreciate your views on the subject.

If you haven’t received your survey, or would like to save time, please fill it in online here.

Letter to households from Eric Ollerenshaw

Dear Resident,

While we have been out canvassing and leafleting in all parts of Lancaster over the last 12 months, many of you have raised issues concerning rubbish collection and recycling.

On some streets it seems this is the most hotly debated topic, with arguments about wheelie bins vs bags, what should and shouldn’t be recycled and the impact of bins, bags and boxes on the appearance of streets and gardens.

We would really like to know how the varying methods of rubbish collection are affecting you and what you and your neighbours would prefer, given the particular circumstances of your street.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey and we look forward to receiving your views.

Yours Faithfully,

Eric Ollerenshaw

PS. If you don’t live in the Lancaster City Council area, you are more than welcome to fill in our survey – but you’ll find a couple of questions are probably not relevant.
