Lancaster Conservatives are pleased to announce the success of their ‘Pride in Primrose’ campaign, which called for the Council to help clean up the Primrose area of Lancaster.
The Council has recently advertised that the ‘Street Pride’ scheme will be rolled into four Primrose streets over the next few months.
Last Spring, residents across Primrose had complained to their Conservative Representative, Miles Bennington, about the poor state of Dale Street and Prospect Street.
Miles and the local Conservative team collected over 100 signatures from Primrose residents and presented them to the Council.
The petition, to persuade the Council to take notice of Primrose, and deal with the weeds, pot holes, gullies and general street cleaning, has been a success.
Prospect and Dale Street will cleaned in July and Eastham and Westham Street will be tackled in September.
