Eric Ollerenshaw OBE
In March 2007, Lancaster and Fleetwood Conservatives selected Eric Ollerenshaw OBE as their Parliamentary Candidate at the next General Election. This sections offers an insight into Eric, and explains this new constituency.
Eric was born and bred in Lancashire and now lives in Lancaster. A grammar school educated, former history teacher, he taught in several Comprehensive schools and strongly believes that education is the best way to get the most out of young people.
An experienced and tough campaigner, he was a board member of Great Ormond St Hospital, a successful local councillor and a member of the London Assembly. He now heads the Cities and Diversity section of the Conservative Party.
He takes a simple message to those who feel let down by the Brown Labour Government, “The new Labour dream has turned to dust and in its place stands a monument to waste, spin and broken promises. Working people have been promised the earth and constantly let down, its time for real change.”
“It is a great privilege to be chosen as the Conservative candidate for the new seat of Lancaster and Fleetwood and I am keen to know your views. Let me know what you think about the issues affecting you and your family through our survey, or by contacting me.”
Thank You,
Eric Ollerenshaw
Conservative Party Candidate
