Conservatives fight Post Office Closures Lancaster and Fleetwood Conservatives are an active association, with campaign teams working hard across the constituency.

Whether you live in Lancaster, Fleetwood – or in any part of the constituency – there are volunteers out campaigning for a Conservative Government, and offers of help are welcome.

The Campaign Team takes part in many different activities – from leafleting and canvassing, to campaigning on local and national issues – and volunteers can get involved in the parts that most interest them.

Local Campaigns

Pride in Primrose: Miles Bennington and Roger Mace High profile campaigns over the past year include defending our Post Offices from Labour’s cuts, fighting Canatxx, who wish to store gas under the Rive Wyre, and campaigning for a clean up of Primrose in Lancaster.

Our volunteers are helping campaign for a Conservative Government and for a Conservative County Council.

Action Days

We also hold monthly Action Days where groups of volunteers meet up for a campaign event, which could be leafleting a Council Ward, helping to run a campaign stall at a local event, collecting signatures for a petition or another of our varied events.

Getting Involved

There are many ways to get involved with the Campaign Team – from displaying a poster at election time, leafleting your road or getting stuck into grassroot politics.

We are especially on the look out for:

  • People who are able to leaflet around their street
  • Door-step and telephone canvassers
  • Offers of window or garden poster sites for election time
  • Election day helpers
  • Potential Conservative Councillors
  • Volunteers with a little more time on their hands to join our Action Days

If you would like to get involved with the Campaign Team, please email lancasterwyre@tory.org with your name and a phone number so that we can contact you. Students can also join the Lancaster Conservative Future Group on Facebook.
