Eric Ollerenshaw OBE

Eric Ollerenshaw OBE is the Prospective Conservative Party Parliamentary Candidate for Lancaster and Fleetwood.

Eric was born and bred in Lancashire and has been living in Lancaster for two years.  A grammar school educated, former history teacher, he taught in several Comprehensive schools and strongly believes that education is the best way to get the most out of young people.

An experienced and tough campaigner, Eric was a board member of Great Ormond St. Hospital, a successful local councillor and a member of the London Assembly.  He now leads the Cities and Diversity section of the Conservative Party.

Let Down

Working people have been promised the earth and constantly let down.  It’s time for real change.

He takes a simple message to those who feel let down by the Labour Government, “The new Labour dream has turned to dust and in its place stands a monument to waste, spin and broken promises.  Working people have been promised the earth and constantly let down.  It’s time for real change.”

An Active Campaigner

Tram Sunday 2008

Tram Sunday 2008: Launch of our 'Stop Cantaxx Again!' Campaign.

Since he was selected in March 2007 at an Open Primary, Eric has taken an active role in campaigning on local issues.  He lead the Conservative petition against the closure of four Lancaster Post Offices and has been involved in many other local campaigns.

He is currently fighting Cantaxx and sifting through the replies to the Lancaster Bin Survey.

Eric said: “It is a great privilege to have been chosen as the Conservative candidate for the new seat of Lancaster and Fleetwood and I am keen to know your views.

“If you’d like to get in touch with me, you can do so on our contact us page.”
